Find out what your pharmacy is worth

Leave your number. A pharmacist-owner will call you, usually the same day.

Confidential. We never contact your staff, landlord or banner.

Why PharmaSold

Selling a pharmacy is not selling a house. We know the difference.

Most pharmacies are sold by agents who have never filled a prescription, read a plan summary or sat through an OCP inspection. We own and operate pharmacies ourselves. We know what your store is really worth, and we know which buyers can actually close.

How we help

Everything a sale needs, handled by people who've done it

Buying or selling, we stay with you from the first conversation to the day the keys change hands. You won't be left to figure out the next step alone.

Finding the right buyer

Financing the acquisition

We help buyers prepare a lender-ready package and connect them with banks that finance pharmacies, so deals actually close.

Share or asset sale

The choice that most affects your tax bill and your risk. We explain both in plain terms so you decide with your accountant.

What makes a pharmacy worth more

Your price comes from your profit, not a rule of thumb

Two pharmacies with the same sales can be worth very different amounts. These are the things a serious buyer and their bank will look at.

Steady or growing prescriptions

Scripts per day over the last two years, and the reason behind any change.

Profit on each prescription

What you actually keep after drug cost, broken out by who pays.

Who pays for your prescriptions

Your mix of ODB, private insurance and cash patients.

Your rebates

What your banner or wholesaler really pays you, checked against statements.

Doctors nearby

A clinic in or next to the store, and how long those doctors are committed to stay.

Your lease

Years left, renewal options and whether it can be transferred to a new owner.

Questions

What owners usually ask first

Do I have to commit to selling?

No. Many owners just want to know their number for retirement, estate or partnership planning. A valuation carries no obligation.

Is the valuation really free?

Yes. There's no fee for the conversation or the written valuation.

Will my staff, landlord or banner find out?

Not from us. We don't contact anyone connected to your pharmacy without your written permission, and we sign an NDA before you share financials.

What do I need to get started?

Nothing for the first call. For the valuation, usually your plan summary reports, a recent profit and loss statement, and your lease.

Should I sell my shares or the assets?

It depends on your tax situation and the buyer. Read our guide, Asset sale vs share sale, then we'll walk through it with you.

Where do you work?

Ontario first, and across Canada for the right pharmacy. Independent and bannered, urban and rural, clinic-attached, compounding and OAT pharmacies are all welcome.
